چکیده

The outbreak of a novel coronavirus associated with acute respiratory disease, called COVID-19, marked the introduction third spillover an animal (CoV) to humans in last two decades. genome analysis various bioinformatics tools revealed that causative pathogen (SARS-CoV-2) belongs subgenus Sarbecovirus genus Betacoronavirus, highly similar as bat and receptor-binding domain (RBD) spike glycoprotein Malayan pangolin coronavirus. Based on its genetic proximity, SARS-CoV-2 is likely have originated from bat-derived CoV transmitted via unknown intermediate mammalian host, probably pangolin. Further, protein S1/S2 cleavage site has acquired polybasic furin which absent suggesting natural selection either host before zoonotic transfer or following transfer. In current review, we recapitulate preliminary opinion about origin life cycle SARS-CoV-2, roles virus proteins pathogenesis, commonalities, differences between different corona viruses. Moreover, crystal structures unique characteristics differentiating it other CoVs are discussed. Our review also provides comprehensive information molecular aspects including secondary protein–protein interactions can be useful understand aggressive spread SARS-CoV-2. mutations haplotypes reported summarized evolution.

Demography and the Coronavirus Pandemic

Abstract. One of the most urgent policy issues related to the COVID-19 pandemic in Europe concerns the extent and ways in which demographics have determined different patterns of mortality between groups and regions, and whether and how the pandemic and its economic consequences will affect population dynamics in the future. Post-pandemic policy evaluations on the spread of COVID-19 and the im...

Structural insights into SARS coronavirus proteins.

The SARS coronavirus was identified as the pathogen of a global outbreak of SARS (severe acute respiratory syndrome) in 2003. Its large RNA genome encodes four structural proteins, sixteen non-structural proteins and eight accessory proteins. The availability of structures of SARS coronavirus macromolecules has enabled the elucidation of their important functions, such as mediating the fusion o...
